For this discussion, I chose Sherrie Levine who is an artist of postmodernism and believes nothing is unique but rather an idea inspired by some other people’s work. She critiques the core ideas of modernism and questions the role of the romantic, artist-genius. She asks her viewers the question that why they trust values in art like originality. Her work is collaboration with previous artists. She is also a feminist critique against the patriarchy of art history and as well as society in larger terms.
